In 1911, in New York, a fire in the Triangle textile factory kills more than a hundred female workers. A century later, in 2011, other textile workers lost their lives when an “irregular” knitwear factory in Barletta, Southern Italy, collapsed. Mariella Fasanella, who was rescued from the rubble, agrees to recall those events. A film that shows the unshakeable pride of someone who understand the inherent value of doing one’s job well.

(Palermo, 1973) She debuted with L’isola, presented in Cannes in 2003. Her film Terramatta (2012), inspired by the book Terra Matta by Vincenzo Rabito has received many awards, such as the Efebo d’Argento and the Nastro d’Argento 2013 for Best Italian Documentary. Con il fiato sospeso(2013), interpreted by Alba Rohrwacher,  was presented out of competition in Venice in 2013 and received the Gillo Pontecorvo award. She was selected for the 32nd edition of the Torino Film Festival with her latest work Triangle (2014).
